I have grown up all my life in the kitchen, baking. There is a picture of me as a young girl with a little apron on, happily stirring a flour mixture in a bowl, in my mother’s kitchen. It was a foreshadow of the skill I would acquire over the years as I learned from my mom, and my dad, the best bakers I know! I grew up around the smells of fresh bread baking in the oven, fruit pies, cookies, whatever one of my parent’s decided to make that day. To this day, those are some of my favorite memories of my childhood. With my dad having grown up in a bakery, and my mom having taught me to make pies and cookies and such, is it any wonder I have this love of baking? My ever present sweet tooth might have had a bit of an influence as well!

Over the years I began to dream of making it into a business. That dream has started to take form in the last year, and at the beginning of 2011, I registered the business name, Decadent Delights. This partly came from a verse that has become my life verse over the years; Psalm 37:4, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” I have learned the truth of that verse more and more over the years, and nothing is more important to me that serving the Lord with all that is in me! God has given me the talent and love of baking, and I love to share that ability with those around me. I hope you enjoy what you see here! God bless!!
